This was a saturated purple and black color in the decanter and I would have guessed maybe 3yrs old based on how tight this was even after 20-30mins. Underripe blackberry, cassis, currant, and plum on the nose. Chewy tannins...dark chocolate dusted dates, tobacco & graphite. No problem letting this go another 5-7 before it even hits a prime drinking window (in my opinion).

Classic Ribera, 2005 is drinking beautifully right now. Red/black fruit, crème brûlée and black licorice on the nose. Mid palate donkey punch and finish were the standouts. Outstanding

Very nicely integrated wine with Rich darker tones, focus integrated fruit is nice and finish his long. Will develop overtime beautifully.

Predominantly tintas grapes in this sublime bottle. Scents of tea and tobacco which evolved into dark fruit. Earthy flavors of leather, dark fruit and spice.

Delicious Ribera Del Duero. Perfect plum and dark fruit nose. Fabulous cola, dark cherry, licorice and caramel on the palate. Leather and oak in the finish. A great Spanish wine.

On the nose: dark cherry, dark plum, dried blueberries, med (+) intensity, soy sauce, slight jam, light developing characteristics of leather and coffee, hint of black current, anise. On the palate: full of dark fresh fruit, med + acidity, med+ tannin, med + to high alcohol, woody youth tannin. A very good wine, can go for another 10 years to soften the wine and let the fruits further emerge... Still nice now with some saucy grilled meats... Definitely a good wine... Makes me hungry sipping this!
