Very pleasantly surprised by this blend from Jumilla. Still fresh with good integration of structure and alcohol.

Most likely my favorite wine of all time from Spain. This 50/50 monster was so intense with dark raspberry fruit yet balanced so well that I originally thought I was drinking a big CDP. It took 2 hours to decant in its own bottle and aged for about 9.5 years. Perfectly peaking. $28 / 97pts

3rd bottle over the last 5 years and this wine is as amazing as ever. Drips with dark fruit and yet has an unreal dirty earth undercurrent. Drink it with a thick slab of bacon. Seriously.

Roasted meat, charcoal, smoke, toast, hint of kirsch. Bitter chocolate notes on the finish, some walnut too.
Where's the fruit? Passing its prime.

Pulled this wine out for Christmas...black fruit, rose petal, smoke, leather, tar, toast, cedar, toffee, and americano coffee on the nose. Palate carries smoothly through the mid palate adding pungent spice, beef blood, coconut, vanilla, and dill to the flavor profile. Very smoothly integrated chewy tannins and a long finish. This wine could go on aging for another 7 to 10 years easily. Fantastic wine.
