Tarima Hill Old Vines Alicante Monastrell
Deep Ruby with aromas of fresh blue and black fruits, spice and sweet oak, aged for about 12 months in oak. On the palate flavors of blueberry and blackberry with herb leaf spice and smoky notes. Fine rustic tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, herbs, licorice and sweet spice.

Jun 9th, 2023I tried the 13 vintage a couple of years ago. This one is just as smooth. A full, ripe, and fruit forward wine. I like it.

Apr 8th, 2019100% Monastrell. Perfume on the nose with a bit of freshly cut grass. Spearmint on the palate as well, in an herby way. New leather tones with some dried plums. Overall pretty vegetal, but with sharp acidity and medium body.

Oct 5th, 2017I have never tastes 100% Monastrell. When we first tasted, it was tight and a bit vegetal with big green notes. However, as it opened up, it became smoky with flavors a of plum and cassis. However it was very restrained and subtle. I bet it would go great with big, gamy meat.
