Lovely. Classic. Dusty and elegantly rustic but lively.

Sipping Fine Wine

Winery, recently celebrated its 75th anniversary. A blend of 90% Tempranillo, 7% Graciano & 3% Mazuelo. Deep red with full aromas of black fruit, espresso & oak notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with tobacco, citrus, herbs and creamy oak. Nice fine tannins with balanced acidity ending with big oaky tones. Good value, has some short term aging potential.

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Nose of blueberries, blackberries, cherries, cranberries, licorice, oak and vanilla.

Dry and spicy On the palate, with earth, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, black currants, cedar, vanilla, spices and black pepper.
Full bodied and vibrant.

Long finish with round tannins.

A Nice, Gran Reserva. Time in the bottle worked its magic, and it's only the beginning. Will be much better in 5 to 15 years.

Aged for 30 months in oak barrels, and then 36 months in the bottle.

14% alcohol by volume.

90% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo, 5% Graciano.

Неожиданно благородное вино для своего почтенного возраста вкус одновременно молодого и зрелого вина, немного таниновое с ягодным тёплым вкусом. Аромат тёплый и стабильный. Вкус устойчивый даже клубника не смогла ухудшить вкус

Nice experience with this tempranillo.
Not too strong not too light. Balance in think it's the key.
Medium acidity and beautiful round tannins in the right place, it sure won't disappoint. It falls on the dry side and a bit complex on the nose.
Plums and cherries ripe it's the dominant aroma but nothing too specific.
It certainly has the wood (oak), sweetness (vanilla)and smoke. It forces you to discover more and more. Every sip of this fellow is worthy. With a looooong finish its almost chewable after its gone.
Awesome red. Fun and serious.

Still learning rioja and crianza, but I feel like fruitier crianza is more like Merlot, and as it ages it gets more like a spice heavy, earthier Syrah. Anywhere that’s where this was, currants, maybe a little plum, but other flavors.
