Corimbo I Ribera del Duero Tempranillo

Expressive nose of chocolate, ripe cherries, pine, cocoa, the dark side of Tempranillo. A funky hint of leather, tertiary aromas coming out. Full bodied, sweet tannins and length. A fine Ribera

Not an easy vintage. Dark, with blackberries, dark chocolate, plums. Full bodied, good acidity, concentration, tannins still a bit firm

Intense dark fruit, nuances of vanilla and cinnamon, ink. Sweet tannins and wonderful length

Well balanced spicy, aromatic herbs

Layers of dark cherries, blackberries, chocolate, liquorice and (this is the great part) silky tannins. Structure and length. Great wine

Beautifully integrated wine, nice earthtones showing through, lovely fruit and balance, well-integrated oak. Beautiful wine.

Double bubble gum

This wine is not good. Intensely tannic and enough sediment at the bottom of the bottle to actually coat the wine glassy with a layer of sludge. I bought this at an airport duty free shop for a considerable amount (around $65) and was sadly disappointed. I don’t understand the high ratings or the price point. Please prove me wrong, but this seems like a scam.

Tasted blind (suspected aged Cornas) - Dark purple core fading to weathered ruby. Smoked beef, barnyard, and animal sweat over dried plum and blackberry fruits. Palate echos a sense of meatiness with dark forest berries. Dry to finish with length and depth.

Aromatisk! Rooibos, svamp, plommon, läder och mörka bär. Smaken är ännu ung men väldigt potent. Bigarråer, ceder, nougat, viol, örter m.m. Väldigt bra balans mellan frukt, syra, tanin och fat.
