Red fruit driven, felt contemporary jn the making, with pale colour, good acid, less power and more tension. Good this 2019

Founded by Emilio Moro, born in Pesquera de Duero. Wine made from vineyard grapes, 25 & 75 years old, from Camino Viejo estate. Malleolus is a Latin word meaning “small hammer or mallet” used in planting & “majuelo” Spanish for “young vine” a traditional way of referring to a vineyard in Pesquera del Duero. Deep Ruby berry fruit aromas with espresso & smoky notes. Blackberry & cherry with vanilla spice on full ripe tannins just starting to soften. Well balanced, complex, lingering with earthy finish. Nice!

Cherry red color. Balsamic, liquorice, spicy on smell. Very long, high acidity, silky, persistent. A lot of wood.

16/20

A rich medley of mature berries integrated with savory spices. The wine opened quickly which added to our enjoyment of the bottle along Spain’s northern coast, but not at the expense of an overall complexity that remained with the wine. This wine is ready for consumption now IMO.

👁 capa y densidad media alta.
