Not our bag. Too much everything, especially American oak.

80% Monastrell, 15% Syrah, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon

Fantastic fruit and berry profile, enjoy now. If I wasn’t being a host on T-Day, would have been more involved and analytical. Tasty, more please!

93 WS, I agree.

Drank 3/4/21

The medium bouquet is dominated by earth, underbrush, black pepper, and some dark fruit. Black berries, plums, and a bit of pepper on the palate. Nicely balanced, but a bit restrained. Medium finish.
Better with a bit of air, although I dont feel this is a wine that needs to age.

WS went 93 pts on this, while most did not seem to love it as much. I'm somewhere in between...

3/21/7/4/3 = 88 pts.

Cherry and raspberry and a hint of spice on the nose, flavor is fruity and sweet, but not cloyingly so. Nice tannins and backbone to support the fruitiness on the front, with a little bit of a pleasantly thorny twist on the finish that shows this wine is not playing around.

Strong enough flavors to go with our highly seasoned steak and gnocchi.

For under $10, this is a winner. Decent character, yeah it’s fruit forward, but not obnoxious about it. For that weeknight when us paesants just want to sip on something without pontification…
