Hécula Organic Monastrell

Dark purple color, tree bark, black fruits, medium-bodied, medium-long finish, solid drinker!!

Plum, cassis with hints of cured meat, Asian spice and anise. Dark fruit and spice notes on the palate with medium acidity and smooth tannins. Black tea on the finish. Good and cheap.

Decent boring label. Dark color. Smells meaty and a hint savory. Herbs and rocks too. Flavors are juicy and dry with a streak of lovely minerality. This is a great Spanish red. Complex, but crowd pleasing. Hint of earth and plenty of berry-liciousness.
