This Mourvèdre is on point. Young and juicy as can be but surprisingly complex on day 2 and then day 3 and even more on day 4. There is fresh dark fruit expected from this young of a vintage and then layered sharp flavors of strawberry and cinnamon, wound up in a long tannic Finnish. Bought for $14 - wow. — 9 years ago
Worth more than you pay very good with salmon — 10 years ago
This time around was great with a leg of lamb! Chocolate, coffee and mild tannins. — 3 months ago
Decent boring label. Dark color. Smells meaty and a hint savory. Herbs and rocks too. Flavors are juicy and dry with a streak of lovely minerality. This is a great Spanish red. Complex, but crowd pleasing. Hint of earth and plenty of berry-liciousness. — 8 months ago
A great modern blend, deep colour, rich palate, still strong tannins, wonderful finish. — 7 years ago
Served with Cherry dessert so fantastic, served cold which made the comparison even better, the grape Mourvedre had dark fruit, some leather and deep finish , wow. — 8 years ago

Bold red. Great with beef roast. Benefits from some decanting. — 11 years ago
Cool label. Grape cluster print. This is a Monastrell from Yecla. Lighter color, almost translucent. Aromas of citrus (blood orange), raspberry jelly, marjoram, & celery root? Something earthy in the mix. Flavors are more citrus. Oranges (blood and Cara Cara), pink grapefruit, and tangerines. Plus a hint of cherry and pink plum. A bit of blackberry leaf black tea. Plenty of acid snap. Also has tannins. This is a classic food wine. Complementary and bracing enough to meet chopped salads and tomato sauce dishes with a gentle kiss. Lovely stuff. — 8 months ago
It is desert wine. Sweet tannic. Matured. Concentrated. Black fruits with some violet. Familia Castaño Dulce C Monastrell 2004 @814, xiaduo -, 220215-220217 — 4 years ago
Nice body without being too woody as many Chardonnay's can be — 7 years ago
Was highly skeptical of trying a cheap Texas wine, but was pleasantly surprised. Albariño is one of my favorite white grape varietals, and after learning that Spanish and Portuguese grapes do particularly well in the Texas climate thought I’d give it a shot. Crisp, very refreshing, Happy 4th! — 8 years ago

Dark granate, mineral, pepper, very long persistence, ash very complex. Blend from Castaño family. A very good one! 23,25€ — 10 years ago
