Blend of Tempranillo (95%), Graciano (4%) and Mazuelo (1%). Deep violet(almost black) color. Interesting aromas of black cherry/plum, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, earth and tobacco. The palate features red and black berry/plum flavors with additional notes of mocha, mushrooms, dusty herbs, white pepper and orange peel. Firm tannins and a long and lingering finish. Medium-plus bodied and plush. Excellent aging potential. Thanking Keno for bringing this excellent example of a traditional and well made Rioja!
