Elegant Malbec, deep berry flavor, dark and earthy. Great nose that reminds me of Bordeaux.

Great #Malbec from #Patagonia, high altitude and thus a cooler climate makes this more European in style. Vibrant purple-red, sappy, red fruit like raspberry, cassis, floral violets, some subtle pepper spice and licorice. Medium to full bodied, medium+ tannin, fresh acidity and an elegant but long, fresh and persistent finish. #gobuythiswine

Malbec from the cooler region of Patagonia, Argentina; elegant and refined, this shows a rare elegance from this varietal, but is very persistent, smooth, with great depth and complexity. Red berries and cherry, licorice, pepper then eucalyptus add nice spice complexity. The persistence continues on the finish with great length. Not cheap at about $45 but worth seeking out.

95% Malbec with 5% Merlot from old, biodynamically farmed vineyards in Mainqué, Rio Negro (Patagonia). Fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and aged in used oak and concrete eggs. Deep violet color. Dark fruit aromas and flavors. Graphite and some oaky notes. Full-bodied, slightly harsh tannins.
