Ji Ji Ji Tunuyán Chenin Blanc

An interesting Chenin from Argentina. Medium lemon color with aromas of tropical fruits, floral blossoms and perfumed spice. On the palate flavors of Granny Smith apples, melon and lemon juice wrapped in salty acidity. Medium finish ending with citrus mineral character.

Interesting but lacked complexity

one of the more impressive wines i've had from ARG - deep dark golden color, looked slightly oxidized, and a bouquet that vacillated from honeyed florals, to mineral, to exotic perfumed spice, musky, brooding, ripe citrus then orchard fruit - just so multi-layered & oh so engaging, the palate was a bit more focused - solid mid weight w/firm acidic backbone leading to lingering tangy salty finish. can't recall having a Chenin like this - felt like extended skin contact and long lees treatment.

Fascinating roundness + minerality

Liked it better than I expected. Crisp. No cloying. Yet still flavorful with lively acidity

Chenin from Argentina!

I really liked this one. The wine store guy almost dissuaded me by warning that it’s “funky” for a chenin blanc. Guess what? it wasn’t but I would have loved it if it were. #nofear #funkytown

Very good, not great. Totally drinkable but not much of an impression

Amber with balanced acid and floral notes. It ran the table from rabbit paté, apple celeriac soup, trout, and even duck.
