Single Vineyard Tannat

Vintage 2018 | redbrown colour, tasted next to two Madirans. A majority of tasters preferred this wine, not me. I found the smell rather closed with hints of raspberry and chocolate. A stringent taste. In my opinion rather one dimensional.

I do love a tannat and this is a fine example that features dark blue and black fruits, gamey meats and grease, a little smoke, and nice grippy acids. Medium finish.

I’m impressed with this Tannat. I didn’t expect the fruit ripeness and the complexity.

HWT - same grape as a wine we like at LaBelle - liked it better the next day. $30

v18. Very good! Soft smoke and tobacco nose. Fresh raspberry, cherry and blackberry fruit. Bright, long, chocolate, earth and leather finish. Enjoyable!

Light but astringent Uruguayan red (Tannat) with peppery finish (Urban Grape)

Needs time but still enjoying it. I decanted for about two hours. Last glass was more like a 9.2.
