This is nicely balanced fruit and acidity. Perfect with Mexican seafood and awesome desserts.

Smooth Pinot with some spice. Great to see these wines coming out of Argentina

Great value Pinot Noir from Patagonia Argentina. Raspberry and Blueberry flavors. Light tannins. For a young vintage, not as "hot" as I would expect.

Tasted this at Astor Wines...even better drinking it at home (with pasta)!

I chose this Patagonian red while walking home, only to realize that I was up to episode 3 of Chef's Table with Patagonian based chef, Francis Mallman. A beautiful coincidence and a delicious drop indeed. Smokey, cherry and blueberry flavors with a touch of lavender on the end.

Fun facts:
The Saurus wines take their name from a very unusual, but important discovery. When the Familia Schroeder winery was being constructed on the vast plains of Patagonia, the fossilized remains of a Titanosaur were unearthed. This dinosaur roamed the area millions of years ago and was one of the biggest species ever known. In honor of this amazing discovery, the family built a special cellar in which to display the bones to the winery's visitors. They were also inspired to create the Saurus line of wines.

Berries on the nose, very light bodied and easy drinking but not a fan of the burning alcohol on the palate
