Dark garnet purple with ruby garnet highlights. Abundant nose of blackberry and graphite leads into a full but lean palate of blackberry, leather ash, and ripe plum. Medium plus acidity and medium plus tannins balance the rich fruit yielding a New World Bordeaux-esque blend that’s ready to accompany any “red wine” meals. Upscale a meatloaf or pair with a porterhouse. Drink now through 2027 (with moderate development).

Dec 28th, 2019Vintage 2010 Liver saucage in smell. Cherries. Choco. Ash. Distinguished taste. Not a very clear Malbec character. Medium acidity. / Second day the Malbec typicity was much more obvious with lovely chocolate smell and a velvety taste. Paired it with ribeye and bearnaise sauce.

May 18th, 2019Delicious blend of Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot. Went well with my Italian stuffed portobello mushrooms.

Sep 9th, 2018Impressive for a sub $20. The first ever vintage of this wine, made even more special by meeting with Michel Rolland and staying at the Pere Verge estate (proprietors of Clos de los Siete).

Mar 22nd, 2018Michel Rolland first went to Argentina in 1988 and fell in love with the country so he and Jean-Michel Arcaute, a winegrower from Pomerol founded a winery. A blend of Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Bright purple with aromas of dark fruit oak and spice. The palate shows rich black fruit, blackberries and blueberries and pepper spice. Notes of tobacco and leather with slight cacao tones and good acidity. Slight oak notes, firm tannins on a medium fresh finish. Nice value.
