On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, herbaceous notes, green bell pepper and mocha.
On the palate there is black cherry, blackberry, menthol, black currant, cassis, spice, herbs, chocolate, hints of green bell pepper, wood and earth.

This we opened was the 2006 Catena Cabernet Sauvignon. Bodega Catena Zepata High Altitude Grapes selected by Laura Catena from Mendoza, Argentina.
On the nose are beautiful notes of bbn lack cherry, blackberry, black plum, bbn lack currant, cassis, chocolate, flint, and earth.
On the palate we find black cherry, blackberry, black currant, spice, herbal notes, eucalyptus, graphite, cedar, espresso, and dark earth.
This is a full bodied wine and you would never know it to be 17 years old with medium+ acidity and medium+ round grippy tannins that leaves you with a long black fruit graphite finish. Easy, fruit driven nose, on the sweet red side of Cab, I guess residual sugar higher than 3, good polished tannins and an easy red wine. Technically well made, clean. Mouthfilling, good length, crowd pleaser
