Les Corbins Meursault Chardonnay

This is tense and laser-focused. By the glass at Nougatine by Jean Georges. Stunning for its precision and linearity. White flowers and limes on the nose. Neutral oak allows the fruit profile to dominate. Excellent Meursault, which tilts a touch tart. This will evolve

Piercing example. Nose displays granite and limestone.
Palate is laser-focused with gooseberries and limes. Roasted nuts assist with softening what is lively acidity. Beautiful, lengthy finish completed what is an outstanding Mersault. Very impressed.

Exciting young wine. Quite reductive on the nose initially- matchstick/rubber aromas. Opening up with floral nuances, peaches and hazelnuts. Lean texture with a bit of roundness around the edges. Wonderfully fresh, mineral Meursault that will age gracefully.

375 format. First bottle corked. Second was fine.......very heavy anise and licorice.

Lots of toasted almond on the nose, green apple, light butter, very clean zippy finish.

2010. A bit lighter and less concentrated than anticipated but that's not a bad thing. Beautiful orchard fruit and green apple, just a hint of oak. In a nice place.
