A very pretty color of light ruby with light intensity, and a wide reddish/brick rim.

Strong nose of bing cherries, cooked plums, light oak, spices, tobacco, chocolates and light raisins.

Light to medium in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, spices, light oak, licorice, chocolates, tobacco and black pepper.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very nice Pinot Noir from Williamette Valley. Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Tangy and interesting.

Good right out of the bottle and easy drinking. A good sipping wine. Good by itself or with food.

This 2-year-old, is already showing nice complexity, which is always nice to see.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.

Unfiltered and unfined.

12.9% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$48.

Have given this a couple of shots and just don’t see what the hype is about.

Really nice bottle tonight. Feminine and seductive. Alluring nose of Rose petals, cherry, peat. Med weight, well balanced fruit/acid , a hint of allspice. Just a fine bottle of Willamette Valley Pinot. A winery to seek out for sure.

This disappointed me for all the hype. Simply not as complex or nuanced as I expected. Have some more and look forward to giving other bottles a shot.

Stunning and better than most winery’s top bottlings, the 2017 ‘Willamette Valley’ Pinot Noir is another sensational wine made by one of the most underrated winemakers in North America, Brian Marcy. The nose is seductive and highly perfumed with rose petals, guava puree, cigar ash and suggestions of peat moss that all build in the glass. The wine shows off a downright sexy texture, showing a great combination of weight and minerality. Guava puree, red raspberry cordial, blood orange zest and white truffle flavors all dance on the palate. A seriously good wine, this will continue to cellar well over the next fifteen years. Drink 2019-2033- 94

Kirby & Pickle label. Light to medium extracted red. Butter, briar and blackberry notes in nose. Raspberry, floral flavors plus blackberry-blueberry flavor with length, followed 90 minutes later by a low-key Bing cherry pulp and skin flavor. Bright, earthy, light seed tannins. Tasty enough, but decant for at least an hour to uncover the glories of its layered fruit flavors. Varietally on point and a superior Oregon Pinot noir, big and flavorful.

Tart cherries, rose water, juicy cranberry, and raspberry jump out of your glass. Sweet cola nuts, fresh tea leaves, violet, and lip smacking acidity —- it hits all the spots of an enjoyable Oregon Pinot for me..
