Something a bit different. Gift from a client. Santa Cruz Roussanne. Great stuff. Lovely nose with some wood but loads of minerality as well. Palate is very balanced and pure and really much leaner than I expected. It’s deep but also elegant and has a nice viscosity to it. Long finish. Very nice.

Quite an achievement; this truly individual wine is bold and rich yet its bright acidity allows flavors to linger effortlessly on the dense finish. Great now, but better in 5+ years.

The action arrives on the palate, which is fat and viscous yet stony and fresh, and almost tannic in its structure. Starting to add secondary nuances, this is still far from ready. Best from 2017. Best new world Roussanne tasted so far. Easy 93 p.

A very impressive wine. Apparently this is the only vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains planted to Roussanne. Love what this winery is doing with land that is far too overlooked!
