Slightly hazy (unfined and unfiltered) straw gold. Inviting nose and medium bodied palate of underripe quince, citrus rind, and balsam with a bit of extra "texture" (light tannin?) from the process. Medium acidity shows from entry to lengthy, lemony finish. Russell Bevan does it again. A luscious California SB treated like it's baby boy, CS, yields a white wine that's ready for fuller fare like roasted pork or fowl, swordfish or shark, or a melange of firm roots and greens. Not your mother's SB. Drink now through 2025.

Hazy straw. Wonderful nose of lemon rind m, straw, and menthol. Full bodied palate of verbena, pear, citrus, birch, and a host others in layer upon layer. Firm acidity from entry to the slight mineral flintiness on the finish. Rich seafood or poultry dishes will shine especially well. I’m having mine with scallops and my drinking partner with Parmesan encrusted chicken. Drink now through 2024.

Hazy (unfined and unfiltered) pale straw. Subtle but present nose of lime rind and menthol grass. Palate echoes the nose with… fresh linen? Bright but not overwhelming acidity throughout. Actually round in the mouth for a SB. Finish is lingering though not necessarily “long.” The epitome (for me anyway) of California Sauvignon Blanc. I’m ruins for everything else. Enjoying with Chinese-American fare, but should match most spring, summer, or even early autumn meals. Drink now through 2023, *if* you can keep your hands off of it that long!

Unfined & unfiltered, cloudy appearance. Aromatics exhibit citrus, specifically dried lemon rind. Nice acidity on the palate. Finish is super long for an SB. Very nice. I like this style.

One of the best SB I’ve had this summer. Glad I kept a case of 2015’s!

Something was not quite right with this bottle. Opened on Xmas day. Revisited today. Not as racy and streamlined as usual. More disjointed and lacking the exotic notes we normally experience. I hope this is just a bottle in shock.

Cloudy, substantial enjoyment. For me this has always been a with food SB. It’s not a pour in to your thermos and take to the beach wine. Props to gramps. Former 82nd airborne stud. Gone for 35 years but taught me that alcohol is not just about getting fucked up.
