Mar 19th, 2021Tasted next to Stags Leap Investor. Far more new world. New oak, big ripe palate. Firm tannins for structure but huge dark fruit prevalent in the palate. Good, but not totally my style.

A good solid wine, but not something I would call overly exciting. Good depth of flavor, bright and intense colors, a lovely example of a Cabernet, but it doesn’t really stand out.

Typical Napa valley cab. Nose of tobacco, vanilla, berries, pepper. There’s a nice vegetable component on the palate with big red fruits great tannin and a nice lingering finish. I get more spices and dried fruit toward the end with some wood. It feels pretty integrated now.

Dec 23rd, 2021Very deep intense colors in the same with the flavors. Blackberry and plum and the like. Almost also sort of a cigar box bunch of aromas. Tannins are present but not overly strong.
