Blend of equal parts Pinot Noir, Trousseau and Poulsard. Light, bright, and juicy. Simple, I thought. Some natty reduction so it would have certainly benefited from more air, but it proved too drinkable on this occasion to have seen much of it. With a little chill, it was gone like the wind.

Apr 23rd, 2023Pleasure wine. Soft, juicy strawberry and cherry with a fresh soil aspect. Subtle, fine-grain tannin frames mouthwatering acidity. Drank from the fridge over 3 days and it developed beautifully.

Aug 1st, 2022Wine #2 of Jura night. Pungent and angular at first, but within an hour it developed a beautiful and complex nose of wild blueberries, crushed stone, forest floor, and cinnamon. Loads of upfront concentration in the mouth— surprising for such a light-colored wine— tangy berry fruit with a slightly bitter edge. Full bodied, with a long minerally finish. Nice!

Oct 11th, 2018Oh so exciting and zing-y and interesting and I forgot I needed to post about it until I saw my unpublished blog post. Up now on ye silly scrumptious gruel. So go there if you wanna know more in the meantime this wine is exciting. I hope we keep seeing more Jura. This one is bright and a bit floral and more. As I tend to say when I’m fascinated: get in.
