Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese

Got more and more dry as I was drinking it.

An absolute BEST BUY. Don’t let its light red and ruby color full you. This wine packs a flavorful punch with classic Etna volcanic mineral with a ripe cherry core with roasted sage brush, rosemary and thyme with a dried floral almost potpourri-like lift.

80/20 Nerello Mascalese/Nerello Capuccio. 2017 enjoyed Aug 2020 Warm ruby. potpourri, leather, dried bing cherry, black pepper. Bitter on finish, high acid, long tannins. rate 8

Very enjoyable

It does the job

I like this wine. Cherry, dried herbs. Found this in a little wine shop in Wrigleyville.

2017. Tobacco and leather. Volcanic soil, sour cherry, and a little plum. Lots of tannin but also a long fairly elegant finish. It’s not my thing but I can see what folks like it. I bet it will be an excellent wine in 5-10 years.

I don’t get what all the fuss is.
