Hitting the spot after a long day of kid's sports. Pre-jacuzzi wine. Zin does not have to suck and this proves it. Tart, blackberry notes smoothing in to what I would say is an almost Grenache vibe. Smooth and not at all over the top. "Restrained" at almost 15%.

Enjoyed over two days. The sophisticated side of Zinfandel on display here(and 18 other varietals co planted in 1888).. Very cool wine.

Such a cool fucking wine. Crazy old black grapes with loads of rich fruit but a ton of zippy acidity too.
