Loamy earth, stony blackberry nose. Minerally, distinct, focused in the graphite, chalk and ever-deepening blackberry and raspberry fruit. The wine is no fruit bomb, it is finesse. Beautifully balanced with solid acidity. Impressive.

Cote Rotie inspired with a seamless balance of dark fruits, floral additions and juicy acidity. Still very young but promising!

That's my jam! (As some might say...) An absolutely gorgeous wine, with all the floral and stone fruit characteristics you'd expect from- what I expect is a decent bit of Viognier in the mix. Nice work.

A wonderful California Syrah with an element of old world Rhone. Not an over ripe fruit bomb but plenty of blackberry, plum, pepper and smoky meat. Great balance and nice finish.

Great work here. No New World Syrah heaviness and lovely floral and meat aromatics (minimal white pepper) with ample fruit but no sweetness or heat. Unsurprising that I’d like a 2011. Hard to get much closer to St. Joseph in California.

Too sweet. Needs 5 more years in the bottle.

After two hours, this was lighter than other's tasting notes but a very enjoyable wine. 2011

Still young at heart but the tannins are integrating nicely. Still a bruiser but progressing nicely. Looking forward to the next bottle in another few years.
