Nose of dried cherry, leather, some pepper and a little curry. Great palate of dark fruit, some dried cherry, leather, tobacco, some herbs. Med+ finish with minerals, herbs and decent acidity. — 9 years ago

Vigorous mousse. Interesting nose, little funky and a bit different than most sparkling wines. Good acidity and balance with a nice palate weight. Some minerals, herbs. Little citrus and tart green apple. Decent finish. Better then most domestic and international sparkling wine. — 10 years ago

Great ripe cherry flavor overtop a nice structure. Tannins were fine and well integrated. It slightly drying. Good balance and acidity and quite a light mouthfeel for the weight. Really enjoyed, good QPR. — 10 years ago

Went well with really spicy Korean food but otherwise probably a bit of an acquired taste. Bit of a fizzy sparkle in the mouth. Sweet and sour, little funky. Milky color. — 9 years ago

A lot going on for a 2007. Lavender, earth, tart cherry and sous bois on the nose. More primary on the palate with lots of minerals, earth, tart cherry, some oak, smooth tannins and good acidity. Tasty but very young. Seems bigger and more burly than a bottle two years ago. — 9 years ago

1991 Faively - definitely in the old school style the house used to make wine in. Plenty of tannin still kicking about but some tasty fruit hanging on and tons of secondary and some tertiary development. Fun drink! — 10 years ago

This drank really well. No formal notes but if I had some in my cellar it would be hard to keep my hands off them. — 9 years ago

Violets and meat on the noise. Great light palate with plenty of punch. Minerals, earth, dark fruit, meat juice and good acidity. Med+ finish. Still young but plenty tasty now. Next bottle in 10 years if the can stay patient... — 9 years ago

Great 2012 Bourgogne blanc - might be one of the best of the vintage though Leflaive is a little more generous right now. — 10 years ago
