Blind Rhône’s from Saturday. My #1 wine in flight 2 and also the group #1. Again, this just completely outclassed the competition in the flight. Oozing with depth, concentration and brutish elegance. Black cherry, rich earth, sauvage and a lovely spice/pepper under-current.

As much as I dislike Rostaing for the number of times he's stood me up after making a tasting appointment, this was a great wine.

Violets and meat on the noise. Great light palate with plenty of punch. Minerals, earth, dark fruit, meat juice and good acidity. Med+ finish. Still young but plenty tasty now. Next bottle in 10 years if the can stay patient...
