So soft. The tannins are fine grained and quite supple. Aromas of black fruit, paprika and dark chocolate. #chianti #chianticlassico #granselezione

Smells of cherry but finishes smooth and a bit of tart.

Oak, sweet spicy aroma. Deep raisin and red black fruits. Coffee, chocolate nuance. Tanning, spicy. Drinkable from first shot. Found it good Chianti immediately! 2016 @2100, xiaduo -, 220430-220518

See October 2021 rating. Same vintage and same tasting profile. Consistently great.

Castello di Brolio Gran Selezione 2016. 90% Sangiovese and 10% d’abrusco. Dark ruby coloration with some translucency. Cherry and florals/perfume and vanilla, spice and some smokiness. On the palate, cherry, oak, vanilla, florals, medium finish of same, with some chocolate notes. Tannins are strong but the wine is nicely balanced, rich and soft on the palate.
