Happy New Year’s my Delectable friends. Here’s to the beautiful fruit of the vine. Sown, grown and harvested with care and patience and then fermented and aged to near perfection. How lucky are we? Very fortunate in my estimation to be here and to experience all that good wine and great friends can offer to us. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2023 - with gratitude and appreciation, Eric

Blend of 75% Cab Sauv, 9% Carmenere, 6% Petit Verdot, 5% Cab Franc & 5% Syrah, aged 14 months in French oak, 65% new. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, spices and herbal earthy tones. On the palate flavors of blackberry, ripe cherry and currants, with herb notes and black pepper spice. Ripe chewy tannins showing it’s youth, long finish ending with earthy herb notes. Very nice, let this one develop in cellar for a few years.

The 2019 Baronesa P. is a combination of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 6% Carménère, 5% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Franc from the Maipo Valley, aged for 15 months in 60% new barrels. Garnet red in color. The complex nose is dominated by the oak, displaying notes of cedar and pencil box, dark fruit aromas and a whiff of thyme. On the palate, the flavors are intense with taut but polished tannins. Broad and long-lasting with an oaky backdrop, this grows more profound when decanted. One to keep. Excellent on open. Well-made blend with beautiful extraction and medium tannins. Acidity isn’t strong and allows the palate to enjoy at this tender young age. Definitely bdx style with deep fruit notes.

Solid blend for Korean BBQ. Notably Chilean on the nose. Strong Cab Sauvignon base with Cabernet Franc, Carmenere, Syrah, and Petit Verdot. Deep color and the palate had good fruit, black pepper and tobacco, which went well with marinated beef.
