Jul 10th, 2014Excellent, a lighter bodied red that still retains the character and depth of flavor as its bigger cousins. Has aged very well, although I don't think it has much more to go. Drink now.

Aug 24th, 20172004. Surprising for a Barbera. Yes, it had acidity, but the acidity had mellowed over the years. Less fruity than a typical Barbera and with more earthiness. Strong with the Funghi pizza at Marta and with the Rabbit Meatballs. Great suggestion by Brian (one of the somms). Also, a good deal: Delectable says the retail price is around $65 for current release and $50 for the 2004. List price at Marta was only $72!

Jun 20th, 2015Wonderful! Complex flavors. Sediment, but avoidable with careful pouring. Earthy, leathery, with distinct blackberry notes. 👍👍

May 22nd, 20152004 barbera. Dark fruit, red and black fruit, earthy, tannins., tobacco, licorice on the nose. Fruit more tart than expected, but also dried, chewy tannins, medium to medium plus acidity. Great value.

Feb 8th, 2015Mocha Carob nose that smells it's age. Fell a bit short in the mouth however. Lot of sediment. Probably missed this one by about five years. Interesting none the less.
