Picked this 2010 vintage at Grocery Outlet in Oakland for $19.99. Given the vintage I expected something....more. Fruit wasn't as apparent as I expected. Not a bad wine just not memorable.

Garnet color with medium intensity; I picked up cinnamon, plum, blackcurrant, pepper and wet leaves on the nose. Low tannin that's cut by medium acidity and light body with flavors of blackcurrant, black cherry, plum, and pepper with a short finish. Flavors of fruit, spice and herbs for a truly complex and balanced wine!

Gotta be honest, am already drunk off vodka when we broke open this bottle. Grocery outlet....and this site, did not steer me wrong. It's pretty damn good. Pairing with cheddar and cranberry.

Does not taste bad or cheap but just very sour and bitter. Not my type of wine. I tend to shy away from European and South American wines. They are just too bitter for my taste. There's nothing like Napa or Lodi wines, IMHO.
