Such a nice drinking wine with strong dynamic flavors and not breaking the bank. Oiled leather and plums jump right out. Medium bodied and medium tannins. Some jammy fruits and tobacco. Great blend.

Interesting wine. The fruit seemed blunted by oak and brett?? It was different (in a good way) and would like to try again in the future.

If you’ve got patience, this wine’s got time. It’s floral, but not overpoweringly so, like sweet cherries in sauce, wet oak, and the dust you blew off the bottle from the worthwhile wait. The big mouthful of wet wood up front leads to the rest of the flavors without overpowering you.

It’s a walk you started dry and as you strolled along you got a little wet, enjoyed how luscious everything smelled around you, and then the sun dried you all off together.

Pairs shockingly well with peanut butter infused dishes, any tomato base, dinosaur kale with a creamy dressing, and onions and shallot prominent dishes. Open it while you’re cooking and drink till you’re done with dessert.

Chalk, sorrel, raspberry, ruby red, raspberry, blackberry, acid and fullness come together, tannins grippy at end

Two perspectives: first vibrancy and youth, then wisdom from age. Begins optimistic - bright red berries and minerals with interesting inflections - iron rich beef liver, seared in butter, wild Maine blueberry reduction.

Then darker, concentrated, experienced advice. Dried wrinkly fruits - raisins, prunes, dates. Like Amarone.

They come together to tell a good story from both sides.
