Giving aromatics, just enough structure to give the expressive and ample fruit that extra push to make this wine more than simple a show piece. You can think on it but it'll probably be gone before the thought is complete.

Lisini's 2016 Rosso di Montalcino is such a fascinating wine. Delicate and floral in its first impression, the 2016 has plenty of the structural kick that is such a Lisini signature, but here it is expressed in more of an understated way. Dried rose petal, spice and gravel notes add lovely layers of nuance. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2019)

"It's like being in a teenage girls' locker room. I want to bang this wine and go to jail." -Theo Lieberman

Infatuated with this wine. Explosively vibrant fruit without any sacrifice on the acid or finesse fronts. #screwratings

2007 vintage. Still nice but near the end. Perfect with Tuscan beans and sausage.

Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2012, 14.5%. Good color, nose quite spicy and balsamic, with aromatic herbs. Fresh in the mouth, but much too young and alcoholic. 81/100

Лошадка, зайчики, рябина, вишня, черноплодка, перец. Вкус полный, животно-вишневый. Специфично, но не плохо. 15.5/20 (86/100)

Nice rosso. Last had a few years ago. Good pizza wine, but a bit on the less complex side. Tannins / acid balance on the finish is somewhat unresolved / unbalanced. But still a nice Sangiovese.
