Strawberries tart red fruit. Simple but another very easy going wine.

Dusty cherries and cloves mix with sweet florals and a hint of animal musk as the 2018 Rosso di Montepulciano opens in the glass. This is silky yet cool-toned and pliant, impressing most with its balance of ripe red berries and mineral tension. Its medium-length finale is punctuated by a twang of residual acids and spice. (Eric Guido, Vinous, December 2021)

Light to medium bodied
A waft of dried red delicious apple -

Bright Black cherry skin, Thai basil, wispy little tannins. An easy going Rosso, from a very good producer.

Red cherries, strawberry, vanilla, coconut, fresh tobacco, tomato leaf. Med + acidity, medium tannins. Could almost be mistaken for a Pinot Noir but a little more herbal. The finish is not long, which is to be expected. Not bad for a rosso!

This is one of the oldest wineries in this region and they were known as the people from Avignon thus the name of the place 70 % is the minimum and the rest can be anything from this region 1070 a they started to invest on thegje Belgium connection started 2006 they ended up selling everything by 2009 instead of selling it back to the family she did a soil study by university of Bordeaux and they decided that Sangiovese is king here so one ghetto are 100% Sangiovese this is a velvety soft wine that needs at least two years of aging after the harvest they are only one hour away from montalcino very sandy soils perfect for Sangiovese and this winery is now. 100% organic she is a breast cancer survivor they added 500 acres of vineyards in 2 years they will be certifid this wine has violet notes 6minths of slovonian oak soft very a little colorino and canaiolo very soft and round with lovely frwshness and a short but pleasant finish very easy drinking. Very good+ 2011 vino nobile typical and true to the soils they did not make any wine in 2009they wanted to make a statement that things had changed and 2010 was one of the spectators top picks. 2011 very fruity and forward fruit a nice touch of oak spice but still has that typical Tuscan terroir 2005 out of magnum has a good pinot of fresh earth this wine has merlot and Cabernet this docg is older than Brunello do montalcino soft and elegant with a nice safe earth mushroom and plum cherry fruit very soft and drinking very nicely with everything in propotion

This was our pizza wine tonight... and was perfect for that. Lots of floral character and plenty of herbs, with juicy red fruit and palate-cleansing acid.
