Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits and herb spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with tobacco and herb black pepper spice. Drying big tannins, medium finish with spicy ending. Not a fan!

No vintage, but I love Austin Hope, so I’m in.
Medium body with red and dark fruit and spice notes. A hint of vanilla on the nose.
Smooth tannins and acidity.

Trying a baby Austin Hope, only noticed later that it doesn’t even have a vintage. 🤔 but for $20 wine, this is quite good. Fruit forward, and very Paso. Very comparable to a Justin or Daou $20 cab.

Dark ruby/purple color. Pleasant aromas of ripe black fruit, vanilla and espresso. The palate notes black berry/currant/plum fruit with hints of tobacco and black pepper. There is an odd vegetal note on the medium finish. A bit out of balance and smells better than it tastes. Full bodied and (over) concentrated. Thanks for the taste, Chris B!

Nice on the second day. Maybe needs a year or so in the cellar.

Nose: fruit forward. Reminds me of a cherry liquor on the nose. Opens up nicely. Palate: spice. Cherry at first but opens up into darker/young fruits. Oak. Overall: a little bit of a let down from Austin Hope. Decent value for the bottle.
