2013 vintage. Medium ruby. Strawberry violet nose. A more subtle style, with red currant, black raspberry, a touch of coffee and sweet spice. Perfect with cast iron NY sirloin steak. 13% ABV.

Light, transparent burgundy color with a wide brim and cherry undertones. The nose on this thing is positively tremendous. Warm vanilla, tea, and some lovely violet aromas. Fresh red cherries and peonies thrill at first scent with new leather and eastern spice play their part. Strawberries abound here, as well.

This should obviously be held for much longer but who cares right? Still tight and a bit closed off but still showing well. Medium acidity with fine tannins. Decidedly pretty and soft. She is a superstar in the making. Precocious complexity and displaying nice structure and balance, even at this age.

On the palate, the fruit is still a bit restrained but you’ll find wild strawberry, plums, and more cherries. Soft traces of oak and moist moss. Just a dab of funk. Beautiful beautiful funk but just enough to whet your appetite. What a gorgeous little Burgundy from a rising superstar.
