Far different to the last time I had Bon Climat, which was a 2005 last year. This was far more refined and representative of the terroir.

More burgundian than California in its execution, a sideways moment in which we loosen our embrace of the Sonoma Coast, and get our Mind Behind this masterpiece. You should also mind your behind.

Late to post but again too good not to post - Jim Clendenen (everything he touched was golden). This wine was a more Burgundian style than California. We popped and poured this one and it was perfect. Earthy, elegant, layered complexity.

Needs at least an hour to open but once it does you’re treated to a lovely and sophisticated Santa Barbara Pinot Noir

Really great Pinot noir. The flavour - peppery on the front of your tongue - was delicious. As ever, too light for me but surprisingly enjoyed. We had corovin of two glasses at the grove!

Stellar. Earthy, elegant, and layered. Stewed strawberries and dried cherries with a little peat. A special bottling made for Michael Mina. It’s a shame there isn’t more of it.
