Wonderful example.
Nose displays hazelnut, brioche and beeswax. Palate is perfectly balanced and weighted. Honied white fruits combine with moderate acidity, and subtle oak. Whether it’s chard or pinot, ABC has a great wine portfolio, at a modest price.
And yes, drinking mid-week - we broke down like old deck chairs - guilty as charged 😔

Granny Smith apple, honey, lemon, peach, blood orange and oak on the palate. Great acidity and balance.

13’ Au Bon Climat Nuits- Blanches Au Bouge (On That Road Again) Chardonnay.
Decant this for 30 minutes. Honestly I’ve really never had a Chardonnay quite like this one.

Baked apple, lemon, lime, white flowers,definite oak treatment. It all seems to work. Truly an enjoyable wine. Jim has been making outstanding wines for 35+ years. Reasonably priced and delicious. Could possibly get even better with another year in bottle.

Lemon curd, kefir lime leaf, jasmine, lightly toasted, cooked yellow delicious apple, Granny Smith apple skin, trash can. Good, but not fantastic. Much better day 3. Upped rating.

Turns out, age-able white wines are kind of the bomb. And Europe does not have a monopoly on them.

Lemon pith grapefruit, wonderfully chalky.

Not a typically chard guy, but his is awesome. Channels a Montrachet. Brings the acid game strong. Wow.
