Sour cherry, raspberry, beetroot, cinnamon, vanilla. Ripe and so fresh. 👍 to those doing it right

The fruit is definitely New World. Sweet strawberries and earth nose give way to cherries and raspberries on the palate. There is a slight vanillin note, too. Delicious, balanced, and a pleasant wine.

Lively ruby color, no brick. This has plenty of dark fruit and spice in the nose with the toasty oak well integrated now. It feels like it could take more time to gain aromatic complexity but so silky and long. Paired with duck/chorizo paella.

Bought at SB Wine Cask Futures offering. Pale ruby taking in depth of color with air. Spicy nose with bramble fruit. Somehow both smoky and vaguely stemmy/volcanic. Nose reminds me more of OR than CA. A bit four square and sturdy. A pretty good match to baked salmon and kale salad.

Light garnet with a clear rim and a nose of tabacco/leather with spices like clove & cinnamon (not much fruit nose). Smooth in the mouth with mild acidity & low tannins. Dark plum, blackberry with same flavors as on the nose (a bit spicy on the tongue). Not your average Pinot but quite nice and will pair well with lots of foods.

Very good also. Spicier and tastes of higher alcohol but isn't. Not quite as good as Isabelle.
