Had been wanting to try some of these wines after seeing some of the winemakers they’ve brought in. This one is by Steve Matthiasson.
Someone below said this was “white Bordeaux like”, and I think that is SPOT ON. Incredible viscosity. SauvBlanc-Semillon Blend. On the nose, lemon meringue pie with smoked Texas honey. Heavy on the mid-palate with a lingering lemon-tart, grainy/wheaty note on the finish. Very unique. Needs to be served a little warmer than cellar temp.

50/50 sauv blanc and semillion. -like white Bordeaux. Exotic nose, hay. Well balanced.

Ashes & Diamonds Blanc 2018: Medium-plus bodied. Aromatic nose. Excellent balanced & great acidity. Citrus, green apple & green veg from the Sauvignon Blanc and melon, apricot & tropical fruits notes from the Sémillon. Creamy crisp finish. This is an absolute gorgeous Bordeaux style blend from Napa and from the skilled winemaking abilities of Steve Matthiasson. An excellent, refreshing wine selection for pool time & new friends!
