Blanc No 2 Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2016

Trendy? Yes, but it’s also tasty. Perhaps the softest SB I can remember. None of the lemongrass or bright citrus but instead is more round with the semillon and very soft from the oak. A nice wine if you don’t mind the style. — 25 days ago

Their tasting room is crazy retro. This wine was one of my favorites from their lineup.

I like it too, but I don’t have an oak aversion. Some people are just appalled by the suggestion of oak in a sauv blanc.

Estate Reserve Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir 2016

Smells like cherry cigarette ashes. But I like the rugged flavor. It’ll put a beard on ya. Earthy and cloudy and light smokiness. — a month ago

No. 2 A & D Vineyard Red Blend 2015

A touch more flamboyant than the 2014 (No. 1), this No. 2 vintage is still all about the red fruit. Less of the Cabernet Franc coming through on the nose, but it seemed to me to be more intense with some floral tickling around the edges. This would be amazing with a steak. — 2 months ago

Lovely nose. Cherry, ashes, spices, fall leaves, tar, even cayenne, sweet spices as well. Smells very substantial. Big, ripe and tannic. Nice freshness and purity but a very large scaled wine. Huge concentrated fruit and very dense. Needs 2-4 hours. Judgement slightly deferred. Will come back. — 11 hours ago

Grand Vin No 1 A & D Vineyard Red Blend 2014

The 2014 seems very well constructed. Rainier cherries. Maybe soaked in Luxardo. But with a hand of restraint. Softness throughout. — 2 months ago
