Straw yellow, with stone fruit and citrus aromas and floral notes. On the palate melon, pineapple and pear, fresh & crisp with notes of honey and smoky oak, a bit creamy. Lingering finish with wet stone and minerality character, well balanced, stays crisp on ending. Nice!

Was expecting less oak from an old European winemaker. Seems like they just hired a California Chardonnay maker who cranked up the oak. Not a fan.

Nice chardonnay, cheaper than Rombauer — but slightly lower quality as well (a hint of ammonia?). A delightful winery to visit in person.
