Terrific value Dundee Pinot... a lot going on in the glass, early-pick or stem green notes, violets, black cherry pits, freshness and some mineral. Needs some time and/or air.

Jim Arterberry-Maresh is one of Oregon's most talented, young winemakers. His entry-level 2015 Pinot is anything but basic, delivering vibrant, mineral-laced red fruit and floral character, with striking clarity and balance. Sure, it'll age, but it's pretty gorgeous right now. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, Jan 2018) $25

Not as dynamic as the Maresh Vineyard Pinot. Thinner and more acidic, but has a purpose. Paired it with porcetta. First bottle was corked and then trashed. Second was good.

Really needed time to open up. First glass was a bit flat; with the bottle open a day you could really see the quality of the fruit and how it had developed with about four years of bottle age. A very nice underripely structured style of PN. Nothing close to a top release for me, but a delicious example of Dundee Hills fruit.

Solid balance and clear Dundee terroir. Oak a bit heavy handed for a Pinot of this light extraction. Will likely improve with time in the bottle. Brambly funk rn.
