Opulent nose of cherries, spice box. Palate presents linze torte and tar. Very plush on the mid palate, with weight and density. Needs more time in the bottle, but presents beautifully now.

First time tasting this bottling. Very enjoyable, but probably just past its zenith. Quite contemporary for a Spanish Tempranillo. Good fruit profile, with tobacco and herbs. A little iron and singed leaves come along for the ride. Finishes with persistence. A great value.

Utterly classic. Makes me realize that even though I sell Spanish wine for a living I prefer this skeletal, soil infused, higher acid structure with the flavors of Gamay or Pinot Noir. For me, the richness of Ribera or Mancha are more interesting.

Solid tempranillo - maybe a bit on the oaky side for me.

Artadi has a great reputation and his is doing highly ranking wine, this Rioja is well done yet missing a bit of soul. Deep purple, reserved tight nose, red current, flowers and spices, tea leaves and sweet cherry, medium body, smooth with very present acidity, long acid finish. Needs time to reveal is soul and character. My score 87, drink 2018-2024

I seem to like this wine less and less every time I open a new bottle. It's not really opening up or evolving so it's kind of underdelivering.

Red fruit jam along with some charred earth & crispy mackerel skin. Palate is in that spot between fruit and secondary notes starting to come through, new leather, some tannin, a wine on the cusp

Serious wine. Last vintage that will say rioja as they are leaving the d.o. This is the best value in their lineup. 2011 vintage.
