Different direction from the Costamolino
Higher vineyard, older vines and more character for this vermentino that tells you that this variety has some far relation to riesling.
Great mineral and more verticality.
More potential to age
Quite long

Pale straw-yellow. High-pitched, very clean aromas of yellow apple, ginger, and white flowers. Very bright and juicy, in a cool citrusy, medium-bodied style. Flavors similar to the aromas show a persistent, firm finish. Harmonious, easygoing white. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, March 2018)

100% Vermentino from the oldest vineyards of Argiolas. Vermentino is another variety that has enjoyed a long history in Sardinia, but like Cannonau, the origin of Vermentino is still a mystery. This variety does best on poorly fertile soils and it has a good tolerance for the salty Mediterranean winds. This Sardinian Vermentino really shows a sensational saline minerality that no other Vermentino winemaking area can replicate, with lemon zest and marked acidity while maintaining good flesh on the body. Its salty, stony finishing note is really out of this world.

Vintage is 2011. A bit more weighty than the regular bottling, I think this wine might see a little oak.

Heerlijke fruitig wijn van Sardinië. Als je daar bent in oktober (2025) met een heerlijk zonnetje op een terras, dan smaakt deze wijn nog beter. Fruitig, smaakvol en een vol bouquet.
