Estate Bottled Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

I like this - extracted and sweet but the decade + has turned this from a dessert wine into something very drinkable - especially for under $10, and from #Napa.

Who says a half bottle can’t age this well?

Lovely Cab. Held up beautifully for over two decades. Truly remarkable for a half bottle.

Surprisingly good for a 375 at this age.

Even nicer than the 2003. Not as sweet tasting.

Still some bright acids, nicely held up.

Excellent cab and drinking it’s best right now in 2020. Classic berries, wood, leather in the mouth although the nose doesn’t do it justice. Very good red meat/hard cheese/dried salami wine. Actually quite good just sipping without accompaniment.

Ardente Espressione Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2003. It may be small in size (375ml) but still packs a mighty punch. It’s the second time in 5 days that I am bringing it back to Napa Valley 2003 and this one was a real crowd pleaser. Profound dark fruit intensity. Black cherry. Spice. Soft smooth long tannins. A classic Napa Valley Cab! It even got Minnie & Daisy wanting to join the fun! Cheers🍷
