Ardberg is a typical Islay Malt with the dials turned up a few notches. This is very peaty and smoky with seaweed notes. The flavours are bold with the Alcohol turned up slightly to 46%. I prefer these peaty Islay malts to the more refined Highland Malts like Glenmorangie. Both are in the LVMH Stable.

Ardbegs best current offering, peaty, cutting and deep. If you are afraid of peat and smoke, stay well away! Like Guinness, this malt is far lighter than its reputation, and an ideal digestif.

Jul 2nd, 2015My go to malt- especially when I have had a big meal. Sanchos Fish tacos filled me up, now the Ardbeg ten is slowing me down. I find the combination of high peat and light body perfect for drinking on a warm Cali evening with a big ice cube!
