Ripe blackberry, cherry, sweet tobacco, cola, smoke and hints of vanilla, all waft up from the 2015 Ampelos Syrah Gamma.  It's soft on the palate, mixing minerals with ripe dark berries as zesty acids tug at the cheeks and hints of savory herbs resonated toward the close.  The finish is long, yet this is no blockbuster, instead wonderfully pleasant and poised, still showing blue and black fruit with gentle tannins and a hint of tart citrus.  Don't overt think it, just enjoy.

Grand funk nose Blackberry and pie crust
Delicious nose.

Touch of saline, dark cherry, prune, black oil cured olives, mint, pepper, licorice,. Heavier bodied, with tannin/acid blend of oaky citrus.
This wine is one worthy of great contemplation.

A bit of the spoils from our recent California trip. Bacon, plums, and garrigue.

Better the 2nd night ironically. Liked the low alcohol level - 14.1 for a Syrah out of central coast. Prune overtones.

Had by the bottle. Spicy at the start but smooth finish. Very enjoyable with pork belly and pizza.

B+. Dark fruit blackberries on the nose and palate. Slight tartness and pepper. Not as bold as your typical Syrah. Smooth. 2010 vintage. Drunk July 2015. Roberta's NYC. Bottle. Recommended by hewa
