Still up and running
The comparison with a Cornas makes sense
I trust other vintages are even better
Quite dark fruit like blueberry
White pepper and coriander
Velvety fee
Long and intriguing

I have a feeling that my grey mood is making me underrate some wines as if i can't enjoy them fully😑

Love the northern Rhône nose. Less flavor depth than the last time I tried this, but could be just the vintage. I wonder how many tasters could pick this out of a St. Joseph lineup?

Interesting, unique. Really enjoyed it - reminded me of Cornas but still different.

Always amazing, one of my top 3 Syrahs from Cortona. Lovely black fruit and spicy black pepper! Excellent!

Had all the nose and palate of a cool climate Aussie Shiraz from the Adelaide Hills or Yarra Valley for example. Peppery with hung meat bloody aromas. An uncanny likeness. Much preferred the Nebbiolo. When in Rome do as the Romans!

Unique Syrah that is very approachable and pleasing now. Bright, mineral, blueberry marzipan.
