Classic Priorat intense dark fruit, smoky minerality and spiciness are on full display here. Youthfully chewy and densely packed, the 2018 opens up quickly with air, showing fine definition and gentle tannic grip. From the region’s most famed producer, this wine delivers superb value. $25.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2021)

Really surprising for a $25 bottle (this tastes like twice the price).
Nice fruit off the top that quickly turns full bodied… with just the right amount of oak (California wine makers could take note). I’m going out tomorrow to buy more!

Nice nose and legs. Medium body. Medium fruit. A little oaky.

I rated this entry level Priorat a year ago and remember it brighter than this year. The nose and pallet still bear loads of dark and red fruit with a sensory finish reminiscent of dried almonds. It is full bodied, dry, tannic, with medium alcohol and medium acidy. Still like the wine; however, in this case do drink young.
The pork chop with green beans and mushroom pasta worked wonderfully thought.

What happens when you cross toast?
You toast again with the correct wine.
Floral. A bit of pepper and dirt.

Fruit bomb with jammy notes on initial opening - disliked it at this point. After a day and a half the fruit gives way to wet stone and a very faint hint of oak. A fantastic QpR in the making don’t drink this before 2022.

Despite the granny label, it's pleasant and has a high alcohol content. Turns out it's not your grandma's Grenache, it's your spinster Aunt Mabel's "special" juice
